A blend of biodiesel and ultra-low-sulphur diesel (ULSD) fuel

Diesel (EN590) is a mixture of ultra-low-sulphur diesel and biodiesel (FAME: Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) fuels used primarily as a motor fuel. Diesel is produced by traditional refinement of crude oil (fractional distillation) or through a cracking process of heavier products. Biodesel is produced through transesterification, a process through which oils from energy crops (rape-seed, sunflower, palm and soy) or animal fats from the food industry are mingled with methanol.
